Windows 7 question

Hi this is not really "hardware" but it was the most suitable fourm in my opinion I have heard about windows7 free on usb is this true or legal?

also if anyone has a spare copy of windows 7 can I buy it??

No Windows 7 isn't free.
What version are ya after?
Also Windows 8 is going to generally be cheaper as its the "newest" version of Windows.

What are you running it on?
Ubuntu is a pretty decent version of Linux that'll run a whole ton of stuff and is really easy to use!
Best of all, it's free!

Hi Elmoinc im using Windows 7 home and basic and that is really good for minecrafting and genral computer use
Windows 8 isant as good for gaming and it dosent have the start icon ect

And Yes you can download Windows 7 but you have to burn it to a disk

The full release of Windows 8 is actually better for gaming than Windows 7, it's not worth the upgrade though for 1-2 FPS extra.

And yes you can download it, but you need to have a serial which will activate Windows 7, which you need to purchase.

Not that I know of it being free. But you can get them on pendrives. Known as an ISO file.

Its not free, it costs something like a hundred bucks. Pirating software be bad. If you don't activate the software after 30 days, it will kill itself...or delete something...and then it won't boot...or something...but it won't work ...
