Snow Golem Problem

I may be just inexperienced with snow golems, however, on my Single Player map, I have a snow farm using a snow golem, and well I find that on this server the golems don't leave the snow trail like they do on single player, so I cant have me my snow farm... now I know some people might just tell me to go to a snowy biome, but I don't want to, I want to be able from the comfort of my mountaintop home be able to harvest snow freely from a snow golem, so any cheeky comments about going to snowy biomes are not welcome and are not constructive to the topic

If this is a bug, it would be cool to get it resolved, if its due to the anti-grief pluggin with the land claims and what not, is there something I need to write in my while on a claim f mine in order to enable the snow golem to leave its snowy trail where ever it stands?

I didn't write that they do not leave a trail at all, its just not the same as Single player, just encase you didn't get that.
I tried to make a snow farm a while ago and it failed miserably, I tried again and again, to no avail.
At some point after my utter failure I let my Golem roam free, and I found that the odd bit of rare snow would appear around my claim, but only in very small amounts.

I will have to do some more experimenting when I am on next but Im working on a project and are up to a quite tedious part of its completion.

Do you have a snow farm Assassin?

They don't seem to be making snow trails for me either, I'll take a look at the config and get back to you later today

Ok this seems to be a bug with Minecraft itself, even in single player I had problems getting snow golems to produce snow... :?

yeah, I jumped on single player too and found its not doing anything either...
well that sucks.
hopefully they'll fix it in 1.6 ?

This is my knowledge of Snow Golems (I have not tried this in Singleplayer or on Lolnet)

Snow Golems leave trails in places such as:

*Plain biomes (or flat lands)
*Jungle Biomes (Snow Golems die here)
*Deserts (Snow Golems also die here)
