I have to say that considering the population of active users on lolnet that it is quite surprising to see that no one has suggested that we start up a server with a certain modpack that has recently risen to fame in the last couple of weeks, but that also shows the mature understanding of our community that everyone knows and understands that it would be a great effort to accomplish such a task.

just my thoughts.

Assuming you are talking about ftb we/I have a private server running at the moment but due to my upload Speeds any more than 3 people on and the lag kicks in and this would not be feasible to host at a data centre because off the amount of processing power and ram required would make it to expensive I am looking at upgrading my Internet to acomadate more users especially if there is interest.

If the hosting requirements are anything like Tekkit, its resource hungry!
Just checking it out now about to start a LAN server just to have a play around with!
