Well, I've been planting on the server and noticed sometimes that it tends to "pop" out of the ground.
So what i did was place a bunch of lights, torches and dug holes into the roof (if underground) around the hoed dirt and noticed that they stayed in place.
So my thesis on this issue at hand is that plants, seeds, etc need sunlight or some form of light in order to grow.
Hoped this helped cause i found that out about a half hour more than i should've taken me to plant.
