Perks question

Hi there,

I recently donated & noticed today my “perks” were activated. Thank you for this, although to be honest my purpose for donating was that I have enjoyed myself immensely over the past few weeks while playing on your server & am thoroughly impressed with everything I’ve experienced so far. I understand that there are costs associated with running your server, & feel that it's nice for some people to contribute when they are able to, in return for the free service you provide.

Regarding the perks, I am mainly interested in the number of claim blocks. For diamond donators, the number of claim blocks quoted on the 'donate' page is 40,960. However it seems that no claim blocks have been given to me. Could you please let me know whether this is something that has changed (perhaps the donate page has not been updated to reflect this?).

Additionally, it seems that there are a lot of rules specifically in relation to donators. It makes me uncomfortable that I could easily break a rule by mistake (for example by giving someone something). I spend a lot of time gathering my resources & do not see why I cannot give someone some blocks of whatever. I'm not really bothered to read through them. I simply would like to see whether I could be given the claim blocks, keep fly mode (I rather enjoy flying about), teleport (tp) as I realised this can be very useful not just for personal reasons (i teleported in & saved some new guy from dieing by giving him some food which I'd grown myself), & just remove all the other privileges including the "VIP" status from my name as I have no use for this. Hopefully this will mean I can return to being a "regular" player (with the exception of flight).

Ah sorry about that I'll add those claim blocks to your account now.

That rule was created when creative mode was given to donators in Pluto, now that there is a separate creative world I don't think it applies as much anymore.

You should be able to use the command /fly let me know here if it isn't working.

Thank you, yes the claim blocks are there now & fly works great. I also tried out tp & that works nicely.

Good to know about the rule relating to giving items away is no longer relevant - hopefully the rules list can be updated to reflect this?

Just in response to the issues you highlighted about rules as Cptwin has said, it's impossible for any infringement of them to be made by recent donators as you can't enter creative within the regular worlds.

But I will highlight that giving blocks to players would not be an infringement of any rule as clearly all these rules highlight that creative must be involved in this. The only time when this is illegal clearly from this list is when it was given from creative.

2. Donators may not transfer creative items to survival in any way.
3. Donators may not profit off creative
4. Donators are only allowed to use their abilities on themselves
5. Respect a users right to privacy

I would also point out that to break these rules, you have to do something deliberate as previously creative inventories were locked down, and the only way you could get it is by placing it and then destroying it in survival, and as such any infringement would have been caused by intentional actions.

Understandably as a relatively new user you haven't had the experience of this and that ius where your concerns come from but, these rules do remain relevant as a legacy policy. There are legacy items such as houses built in creative which should not be transferred to survival and other such items which mean that these rules will need to stay, to remain enforce for any members who were here under the previous donation scheme and have had some gain from that previous scheme.

However you have nothing to fear, excluding Rule 5 (But that's more like, if people don't want you to teleport to them then obviously don't) as all these rules can not be breached by you as you do not have access to creative.
