New Players Joining

I just had a thought, a lot of new people visit but hardly ever register. Im on a lot and have yet to see any of these new people register and build apart from players from the old server. Im guessing the "how to register" is not clear enough for them and maybe should be displayed in a step by step instruction (quite often they ask how to register). Another thought is that it should be made clear that the password to register "should not" be their email password and just a made up one for the server ( I almost flagged the server for the password bit).

What do you guy's think about this?

The password part probably as I can understand that some may get confused, but in terms of letting people know about registering...
There are about 4 sets of signs when you first enter the server that tell you how to register, everytime you log in it says you need to register and then the command /register youremail yourpassword
Originally I had it so that you couldn't move or do anything if you didn't register and too many people complained about not being able to play, so unless anyone can think of any other ideas I'm really at a loss... I can't force people to read.

do i have to make a big sign like the kony one showing how to register? May be usefull..

This seems to have been fixed by the new spawn point.
We're seeing an increase in players registering

That's interesting... Not sure what the new spawn point does to encourage people to register. There are less signs and notices telling people how too...

Interesting in that case, Maybe its just were doing a better job of welcoming users and talking to them about registering and stuff we have. Or maybe the spawn being more interesting draws them in for a longer stay.

I'm a new player, and I found the registering info very helpful and easy. This is the best public NZ server I've found. Thanks for everything! gountero
