When you become a ua and you want to be a Jnr Mod, do you have to apply for it? Or do they just promote you?

UA -> JrMod requires application. Applications are now open for JrMod for UA's meeting requirements, closing Wednesday 16th October.

Applications for Junior Moderator are opened from time to time. Applications for Junior Moderator are only considered at this time. We don't yet know when the next set of applications will be.

What does veteran mean??

A veteran is a staff member that is retired. They have the same powers (I think), but I think you only become a veteran if you're a retired Mod +.
