doors reset to open

I came on this morning and found every one of my doors was open and many animals had escaped. Trapdoors were also open, gates were still shut. (A few weeks ago I found all the gates open.) I know everything closed when I signed off last night, and they are in the protected area, so no one else should be able to open them.
It is as is some glitch has caused their status to be set to open.

What happened?
