[Closed] Alright, this is getting ridiculous

Hi,

Once again another ban appeal, this time I have done nothing wrong.
My friend Revolutiionz got banned for 'crashing the server' which is understandable since it did seem that every time he joined it crashed, but this gives no reason to call someone a 'muppet' and banning them.

So can we please come to an agreement?

I would like to add, I'm sorry for telling Dez how to do his job. I was a little annoyed at how unprofessional the situation was dealt with.

Having an admin there not giving information on the incident and banning someone giving the reason 'a Muppet' was extremely rude and un-called for.

as i told you in the chat i will unban him after i have the affected area fixed

as for all your other comments about rudeness and professionalism i tend to deal with people based on there history on the server Revolutiionz as you know is not what i would term an upstanding citizen, i answered the first few of your questions in a timely manor but when i took over a minute to reply you go on the attack, now i was in the middle of getting things fixed and the last thing i need is a user who thinks i owe him something demanding things from me and telling me how i should do my job, on the subject of job this is not my job like all the staff on the server i am a volunteer we don't get paid in fact I'm in a great position were if I'm lucky at the end of the month i don't have to fork out for the monthly bill.

so now is the time to be patient and hopefully we can get this all sorted when i get up

Actually, no, you did do something wrong. Dez was "doing his job". Instead of sitting down with his family, he was online trying to fix the bad area of the server. This is made harder when an impatient user is logging in and crashing it. Easiest fix is to block that person from logging in. Dez could have taken time to explain everything to Revolutionz, but then, he wasn't listening to Dez in the first place. So to quickly get to the problem, Dez says "muppit", and moves on. It was a temp ban until dez gets the server fixed, for the reason of keeping him from logging in.

You then wanted answers, got miffed at dez for not stopping and explaining himself to you to your satisfaction. Dez doesn't have to do that at all. And at the moment, you were becoming an obstruction to getting the server fixed. Like Revolutionz, you became the problem. You get banned, problem goes away, Dez gets back to work.

So banning you actually was being Professional.

You just want Dez to admit he was wrong, and unjustly offended you or revolutionz. That makes a ban appeal much less effective

A better one would have been "Dez, sorry mate, shouldn't have been jostling you when you were trying to fix things. Apologies for that, can I be unbanned?" Try that, it works amazingly well with Dez, he's pretty forgiving.

From what I understand, Dez clearly told you that Revolutiionz would be unbanned after that certain area of the server was fixed, because Revolutiionz kept going into it and crashing the server. You should have been quiet after this and accepted the fact that it was only a temp ban instead of butting in and getting yourself banned as well.

I understand that you were just trying to defend your friend, but if it was completely necessary to argue with Dez about this...which it wasn't, you could've at least had the patience to wait until he was free.
