choppy minecraft

i have a core i5, im using ramdisk,iv got 6gb ram, and a 32gb msata sdd. would updating anything speed up minecraft?

It depends on what you mean by choppy.
Looking at the specs you posted in the hardware section your biggest problem is probably that your ultra-book doesn't have a dedicated graphics card.

But in saying that, what are you settings and what is your FPS? (You can see that by hitting F3 in game)

it just runs slow when im on servers. when im on my own worlds i can get from 50 to 200 fps

lol on my laptop the average on singleplayer is solid 50 , but sometimes my multiplayer fps can go down to 20ish from 60 or so.

I wouldn't Call that choppy but if you think that's choppy then try running Minecraft on Fast Graphics if not already, That will really make a diffrence
