ANNOUNCEMENT: Lolnet Going Online

Hey guys,

Lolnet admins have made a decision to go online!
This means that if you have a cracked account, you will not be able to connect.

We have been thinking of doing this for quite a while now and we have made the decision to go ahead with this.

So within the hour we will be restarting the BC and cracked players will no longer be able to join.

If you have any questions about this please message Dez or I about it.

Although this will mean alot of people not going on lolnet anymore like xe, lord and cherry, we will respect the admins choice, its for lolnets good. i will be getting premium in a month, before i didnt think it was worth it, but now playing lolnet has become the importantest reason about wai i want to buy a premium. ty for lolnet being so generous, giving us cracked accounts an opportunity to play at one of nz's best servers, hope we meet again, and by the time we meet, we will just find lolnet better than before

You're not banned from server. You still able to login whenever you get premium minecraft account.

Sorry to anyone this causes a problem for.

But on our end, allowing cracked accounts to play has been causing more and more work for admins and moderators, both in game and behind the scenes. As the population got to be 95% paid and 5% cracked, we realized that the problems caused by cracked players was still taking up a lot of time. Not the players like you who come to the server to play minecraft. We really regret losing anyone from the community because of this. It was the constant stream of people who came to NOT play, just to grief, hack, and curse. It's impossible to ban people that can just come straight back on with another name. The registration program helped with that, but also could cause paid players problems getting into our servers. My personal count estimates we were losing more paid players due to our offline status than we would to moving online.

So to anyone who has to leave, you'll be missed. Hopefully you can upgrade to paid accounts.

Simple solution buy the game

And at the same time be thank full for the time were we allowed offline users to play, custom coded plugins to make it happen, and in general for running the server

If you enjoy the game and our servers so much why can't you put the $30 in for an account I mean with the amount of minecraft most of us play the $30 has got me 1000s of hours of play time and as far as value for money in games minecraft is the pinnacle

There is no other game that will provide you with that many hours of fun

I suggest reading Mik's post for a more detailed reason.
And mostly yes you will be able to as long as you keep your username.

If that's your attitude lordoevil I wouldn't bother coming back

You act as if playing on the server is your right, sorry to tell you this but it isn't, in fact the people who have the right to play can be counted on one hand

But we enjoy sharing something we have built over countless hours with all members of our community and readily welcome new people

The changes we made yesterday have been talked about over the last 6 months and as has been pointed out the proportion of users that don't own an account had dropped below 5% of our user base, also the decision was not made to punish users that didn't own the game

So before you or anyone else decides to have a rant about the decision first ask yourself have you enjoyed the time you have had here (I would bet that most would say yes) and the second thing I would do is thank the staff for all the hours they put in (no one gets paid for there work not even cptwin)
