1.7 World

Hello Peoples ,

I was flying around spawn and saw this https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BzUzeNXfyk8fdTd4Rmo3WFNNUGM/edit?usp=sharing and wondered what is this 1.7 world, I would think that as 1.7 is a world gen update, that this 'new world' is an extension of the current survival world and therefor being made to let all the peoples explore the new biomes and stuff.
What I would like to know is if the stuff you all ready have you will be able to take to this 'new world' or if everyone will be starting again also what is the world limit planed to be as i know the current survival world is a 40000 x 40000 blocks.

nothing is official yet but....

we are planning to have a new world which is using minecraft 1.7 world generation.

We will also be putting a world border of the world, this will ensure that there is a max size of the server map for the server drive.

Inventory from pluto (survival world) should be the same in 1.7.

I think that is all I can say at this time.

Reiterating what James said, no decisions have been made as to what exact changes will happen for the release of 1.7. However, we I would be pretty sure that Pluto will be kept, and that as some older users remember, there will be no massive switch over which we have to force you to undergo.

I think it would be cool if the 1.7 world uses the Amplified setting in world generation.

we haven't yet worked out the best settings (or even a seed) but I'm sure schnick will have his say when the time gets near :-D
